Commonly known as the Japanese practice of forest bathing, Romy will lead a meditative hike through the beautiful
Sourlands Ecosystem Preserve meadows and forest. Click HERE for directions.
Bring-your-own picnic lunch and a blanket or chair to sit and enjoy camaraderie with
Romy and Tina Notas, our Director of Land Stewardship, after the hike.
D&R Greenway will provide desserts along with the ambiance!

D&R Greenway’s Cedar Ridge Preserve
  • For the hike, bring your own water bottle, dress in loose-fitting clothing and in layers. Wear comfortable and sturdy shoes for walking that match the terrain at Cedar Ridge (areas of the trail may be muddy)
  • Unwind from the many demands of life and connect with others.  Not simply a walk in the woods, it is the conscious and contemplative practice of using all of your senses to be immersed in the sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh, clean air
  • Give yourself a break from devices, worries, and stress that dominate your daily life
  • Sit quietly using mindful observations…ruminating about your to-do list is not welcome here!
