The Greater Philadelphia/Burlington/Mercer region is the proud home of the Circuit Trails, one of America’s largest trail networks. When completed, it will include 750 miles of multi-use trails for cyclists, walkers, runners, commuters, families and more to enjoy for recreation and active transportation. Since 2012, community organizers, public agencies and non-profit partners – more than 60 organizations in total – have been advocating for and building hundreds of trail segments, and today, more than 300 miles are open, serving people across nine counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, Central and South Jersey.

D&R Greenway Land Trust is working on bridging the trail gap between Bordentown City and the D&R Canal State Park path at the Battle Monument in Trenton. Our project also seeks to connect the County’s Tulpehaking Nature Center, Abbott Marshlands and the Lawrence Hopewell Trail to the Circuit network.
