Are you interested in being a part of our historic garden project in Bordentown, NJ? Join us to plant heirloom seedlings that will grow into crops that help feed the local community!
The Discovery Center at Point Breeze has a recreated garden plot on the former estate of Joseph Bonaparte. From the indigenous Three Sisters corner to other herbs and vegetables grown in the 1800s, learn more about the techniques used to replicate a historic garden in modern times.
Beginners to experts are welcome! Feel free to bring your own gloves and kneepads to jump in to help us make the garden grow! Make sure to wear sunscreen and a hat. Other supplies provided. The museum will be open to explore the indoor exhibits and cool off after the gardening morning.
We partner with Christ Church Kitchen to cook nourishing meals from our harvest donations. Come back to experience tastes from the garden later this summer when Doan Tucker returns with her cooking crew to let us sample dishes prepared from our garden vegetables on July 26th. Registration available soon.
Write to ptbreezemanager@drgreenway.org with any questions or interest. We hope to see you in the garden Sunday June 14th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm! The Discovery Center will be open to visitors from 12 noon to 4pm. Thank you and Happy Planting!
