In 1989, a group of community-minded local citizens recognized the critical need for an organization specifically dedicated to acquiring and permanently preserving land in central New Jersey. Their shared vision led to the creation of D&R Greenway Land Trust.
By forever saving special places - the celebrated fishing spot, the peaceful forest trail, the hilltop with the beautiful vista of a Revolutionary-era village, the lush views of cornstalks rippling in the late summer sunshine - D&R Greenway provides everyone with the opportunity to enjoy the natural world, the benefits of a healthier environment and the prospect of a better quality of life.
