Alternate Route for Alexander Road Closing
- Take Route One, or Princeton Pike, or 206 South to Province Line Road
- Right on Province Line (a jog for Route 1 drivers: be in left lane to turn left onto continuing Province Line Road)
- Cross Princeton Pike; cross 206; after red barn on left and white fence on right, Right on Rosedale Road
- Pass Johnson Park School on left. Right at sign for D&R Greenway Land Trust, Johnson Education Center
From Princeton
- Follow Nassau Street south towards Route 206.
- Turn right on Elm Road.
- Turn left at next light – this is Rosedale Road.
- Follow for ½ mile and look for sign with stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust and Preservation Place on the left. Turn left and wind to right to enter courtyard parking.
- If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left. Turn left and follow to parking lot on left side of road in front of athletic fields. The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
From Lawrenceville
- Take Rt. 206 N. to Carter Road, just over a mile past Gordon Avenue.
- Make left on Carter Road.
- Continue following Carter Road to the intersection with Rosedale Road. Make a right on Rosedale Road and follow along a residential road past the soccer fields on your right.
- Turn right into Preservation Place and follow around to right and brick courtyard. Enter through front doors.
- If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left. Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields. The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
From Hopewell
- Take Route 518 to the intersection with Route 601/Great Road and make a right at traffic light.
- Continue straight through Blawenburg, past Cherry Valley and through four way intersection.
- Pass Princeton Day School on your right. The road changes names to Elm Road.
- Follow down hill and when you the reach next traffic light, make a right on Rosedale Road.
- Follow for 1/2 mile and turn left into Preservation Place. Wind to right and enter courtyard parking.
- If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left. Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields. The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
From Cranbury
- From Main Street, take Plainsboro Road/Scudders Mill Road to Route 1.
- Use jughandle to enter Route 1 South.
- In less than a mile, look for signs for Washington Road and bear right toward Princeton.
- Follow Washington Road through the Princeton University campus, until you reach the traffic light at Nassau Street.
- Turn left onto Nassau Street, follow through center of town, and turn right on Elm Road.
- Turn left at next light at Rosedale Road.
- Follow for ½ mile and look for sign with stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust and Preservation Place on the left. Turn into short street and wind to right and enter courtyard parking.
- If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left. Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields. The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
From Shore Points/Bordentown Area
- Take I-195 West and exit when you see signs for 295 North toward Princeton.
- Follow Route 295 North for approximately 12 miles. Route 295 becomes Route 295/ 95 as you travel north and toward Pennsylvania. Two exits past the interchange with Route 1- Trenton/New Brunswick you will see signs for Route 206 North.
- Exit at 7B for Route 206 North and Lawrenceville. Continue north to light with Carter Road. (It is just past Cherry Grove Farm.)
- Turn left on Carter Road and follow to Rosedale Road. Make right on Rosedale Road (traffic light).
- Follow through residential area and cross a bridge over the Stony Brook. Turn right at Preservation Place and follow around to your right and the brick courtyard.
- Park in courtyard andenter through the front doors.
- If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left. Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields. The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
From Newark/New York
- Take the NJ Turnpike South to Exit 9.
- Follow signs to US Rt. 1 South headed towards Princeton and Trenton.
- After about 13.5 miles, look for signs for Washington Road and bear right towards Princeton.
- Follow Washington Road through the Princeton University campus, until you reach the traffic light at Nassau Street.
- Turn left onto Nassau Street, follow through center of town, and turn right on Elm Road.
- Turn left at next light at Rosedale Road.
- Follow for ½ mile. Pass entrance on left for Greenway Meadows and and look for Preservation Place and the Johnson Education Center on the left.
- See sign with stone base for D&R Greenway Land Trust and Preservation Place on the left. Turn into short street and wind to right to enter courtyard parking.
- If this parking lot is full, return to Rosedale Road and make a left. Follow to parking lot on left in front of athletic fields. The lot is opposite Johnson Park School.
