Natural Harmony Opening Reception

Four Exhibiting Artists Speak about Inspiration at “Natural Harmony” Opening Exhibit on March 6th at D&R Greenway’s Marie L. Matthews Gallery in Princeton

D&R Greenway Land Trust welcomes the community to come to the Johnson Education Center to experience “Natural Harmony,” the quiet rhythm of the natural word through the shared vision of local artists, Beatrice Bork, TingTing Hsu, Joe Kazimierczyk, and Michael Schweigart. The exhibit, in the Marie L. Matthews Gallery on the second floor of the Johnson Education Center at One Preservation Place, Princeton, is open to the public Monday through Friday, 10 am – 4 pm through June 9.

The public is invited to meet the artists and hear what inspires them at a special wine and cheese reception on Friday, March 6, 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Johnson Education Center. There is no charge to attend, however reservations are requested in advance at www.drgreenway.org and donations are gratefully accepted to support the work of D&R Greenway.

Beyond the rush of everyday life lies a quiet rhythm—the heartbeat of the natural world. This exhibition, Natural Harmony, invites you to pause, breathe, and listen. Through the shared vision of artists Beatrice Bork, TingTing Hsu, Joe Kazimierczyk, and Michael Schweigart, the Marie L. Matthews Gallery is transformed into a sanctuary of color, light, and reflection.

Working across acrylic, oil, and watercolor, each artist responds to nature through a distinct lens. From evocative wildlife and expansive landscapes to intimate observations of place, the collection captures the intricate balance of our environment. Open spaces and enclosed moments, graceful calm and the focused intent of wild predators, all coexist,

mirroring the complexity of the world they represent. Harmony, here, is not merely idealized—it is found through this delicate balance.

The exhibition invites viewers to consider their own relationship to the natural world: the awe found in quiet observation and the grounding presence of land and wildlife. In alignment with the mission of D&R Greenway Land Trust, Natural Harmony honors nature not as a static subject, but as a living, evolving network in which every element plays a vital role.

“These talented artists are known for their expert and appealing depictions of nature,” says Linda Mead, President and CEO of D&R Greenway Land Trust. “Beatrice Bork’s birds and Joe Kaz’s local scenes are always popular. The large canvases presented by TingTing Hsu are stunning to behold, and Michael Schweigart’s large landscapes transform your experience into the perspective of a bird flying over vast lands. We are thrilled that they’ve come together in this unique exhibit to share their talents and passion for nature with D&R Greenway’s visitors.”
