Office Closed for MLK Day of Service

The Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday is an official day of service and celebrates the civil rights leader’s life and legacy.Let’s honor Dr. King’s legacy through service and volunteerism and demonstrate how joining together in service can transform your life and the lives of others. Whether it’s a small or big act of kindness, service has the power to unite people, build bridges, and heal divides.

Observed each year on the third Monday in January, Martin Luther King, Jr., Day is a federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King and improve their communities.

Volunteer

The volunteers who donate their time, skills and energy to D&R Greenway Land Trust contribute to the high quality of life we enjoy in our region. Their work brings lasting environmental, social and economic benefits. Their contributions come in many forms.

Volunteering is open to everyone, from all backgrounds. There’s no upper age limit, though you’ll need to be at least 18 to apply.

To sign up as a volunteer to help us on our preserves with stewardship and trail maintenance, assist with events and community outreach, volunteer in our native plant nursery or preserve gardens click HERE.
